Thoughts are not facts. Thoughts swirl around us constantly. Our feelings are generated from these thoughts. If we feel anxious we need to examine our thoughts. Even when dying or very ill or in pain we can find things to be grateful for. Focus on the thoughts you have and interrupt the downward spiral by changing those thoughts to the beauty in a child's face, to the love you felt when a caregiver spoke nicely to you, when others shared their time with you.
